The second week of Washed-Up action was a breathtaking experience. Award races are starting to heat up and teams are looking to build their chemistry. To start off the evening, Team Fitzpatrick took on Team Senior.
This was another forgettable performance for Team Senior, barely eclipsing the 30 point mark as a team. Captain Chuck Senior led his team (11 points, 5 boards) but didn't have much help alongside him. Matching Senior's 11 points was opposing captain Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was aided by another dominant performance from Ty Drago (21 points, 5 boards). This wasn't a close one but wasn't a complete blowout either, with Team Fitzpatrick running away with a 51-31 victory.
Following the first contest was the primetime matchup between Team Guida and Team Lucey. Team Lucey bolted off to an early 16-2 lead with a surprising peformance from Matt Greatorex (16 points, 6 boards, 3 threes) from downtown. This lead would last for most of the game, but Alex Joly (13 points, 8 boards) closed the gap down to 3 with a minute left. Dan Cataldo (7 points, 2 boards) hit a long two-point shot to make things interesting with half a minute left, but league-leading scorer Robert Guida (4 points, 5 boards) bricked a go-ahead three-pointer as time expired. Team Lucey won a nailbiter by a final score of 45-43.
