Stats Fanatics allows administrators to create news items that are categorized as organization news, league news, or team news. Organization news items are displayed only in the organization home page and the organization news section. League news items are displayed only in that specific league's home page and news section. Team news items are only displayed in that specific team's home page and news section. Organization Admin have control over all types of news items while a team manager needs to be granted access through the 'League Teams' admin section to be able to post their own news.

There are two basic types of news items. The first is a 'game recap' that is associated with a particular game and created and edited inside of the admin 'Schedules' admin section. The second is a 'news item' that is associated with a particular team, league, or organization and is created in the 'Edit News' admin section. Team news is handled in the 'Edit Team News' admin section which can be reached while viewing that particular team's section of your organization site. Please notice that you can also edit league game recaps while in the league news section of your site.

To create a news item, users with administrative access must first sign in and then click 'News' from the administrative options located at the top of the page. If you want to add or edit an organization news item click the 'Organization News' link location below section title. To return to the league news section click the 'League News' link. To create a news item click 'Create News Item' at the bottom of the page.

When creating a recap or a news item, you must enter a date, a title, and content. If you do not enter an author's name, it will default to your user name. You can also upload an image that is maximum 75kb in size with an optional border and image headline.

You cannot use HTML when creating a recap or news item. If you want to include a link or bold a particular word then please use the BB Code tags listed near the bottom of the page.

If you want a news/recap item to take priority over other news items on your organization or league home page, then make it sticky by selecting yes.

When you are finished creating your game recap or news item, press the submit button.

If you want to delete a news item or a game recap, the image associated with that item as well as all related user comments will be deleted too. You cannot enter, edit or delete game recaps or league news items if that particular league is locked.
