STATS FANATICS HELP: EDIT ROSTER

Add Players
Users with administrative access must first sign in and click 'Edit Rosters' from the administrative options located at the top of their page. Stats Fanatics allows organizations to track multiple leagues and seasons at the same time. If the team's roster you want to edit isn't in the league you are looking at, select another league from the drop down lists near the top of the page.

To help you track players in your organization with similar names, there is also an optional date of birth field you can use. If you don't want that players date of birth to be displayed on their playercard, please select 'no' for 'Display DOB on Playercard'.

Please get permission from players or their guardians before displaying information about them on this site! This is especially important when it comes to minors. If Stats Fanatics receives complaints about personal information being displayed about a specific player then we will remove it. If privacy is an issue in your organization, please review our Best Practices Guide for possible solutions.

Click the 'Edit' link next to the team who's roster you want to add players to. Each team's roster has a 60 player limit. To add a player to a roster, select an existing player from the drop down list located on the bottom of the page or select 'other' and enter a new player name and then click 'Add Player'.

To edit a player's profile, click 'edit' under the 'EDIT PROFILE' column header.
Player Merging
Stats Fanatics has the ability to track the same player who has played on multiple teams for multiple sports within the same organization. This is done when when you create a new player and add him to a roster. After submitting the name, if both the player's first and last name match another player within your organization, a list of potential matches gets displayed on your screen. If one of the player's listed is the same as the one you are creating, click the merge link next to their name. If the player you are creating is not the same person as anyone on the list, then simply press the continue button located at the bottom right of your page.

You can only merge players when you are creating a player and not when you are editing a players name. You cannot merge two players on the same team. Also, once you merge a player, the process is final. The only way to unmerge a player is to remove him entirely from a team's roster and create a new instance of him.

IMPORTANT: If you granted team admin access to edit their own rosters, they still do not have the ability to merge a player located on multiple teams. Only a league administrator has the ability to do this while adding that player to a roster in the league's 'Edit Roster' section.
Remove Players
You cannot remove a player from a roster if he's played in one or more games for that particular league. You cannot add or remove players from a roster if the league has been locked.
