The Blue Jays have found their wings and have begun to soar. It was a nailbiter Saturday when the Blue Jays hosted the Dodgers. The birds found themselves down 6-1 by the middle of the fourth inning. What happened next was what boys play for, the excitement. The bottom of the fourth inning started with Seth getting a double, from their his teammates understood what they needed to do. Three runs would score that inning, Brett came in and pitched and shut down the Dodgers until the sixth inning, but fortunalty the birds continued their hitting ways. Micah came in the fifth inning and hit a triple, scoring two runs and the birds were now only down by two a the end of the fifth. Sixth inning started of great and got better. The birds infield kept everyone off of the bases and then the birds got to bat last.
The inning started with the top of the order. Seth got a blast through the infield and found himself again on base. Andy gets up to bat, the infield backs up and the bunt sign was given after Seth stole second base. Andy drops a bund inches infront of the plate and his speed got him to first and Seth to third. clayton gets up and with Andy on first, we all knew what needed to be done. Sure enough, clayton puts the ball in shallow center scoring Seth and Mr Speed himself, Andy. Is anyone in Minor A faster than Andy, this writer thinks not. now we have Clayton on second and Brett at bat. Wild pitch, Clayton on third. Brett hits it hard to the pitcher, throw to first, first baseman pulls his foot off of the bag, safe at first, Clayton gets thrown out at home. Now we have Brett on first with Luke at bat, one out. Luke gets the walk, Brett to first, one out still and Chris at bat. BASE HIT, BASE HIT, run scores, BLUE JAYS WIN.
What a game, now the Yankees destiny is in their own hands and they loss. Yankees loss, Dodgers Loss, first half one game playoff this Monday.
The Blue Jays recieved their first win by beating the Red Sox. An errorless game equals wins says Coach McNamee. We still need to work with the ten strikeouts per game, but I feel this will improve as the second half comes around. Thank all the boys for their hard work and great fielding, it was a well deserved win.
