Well, the season started with a horrible 0-2 record but like Sanchez said after that horrific 2nd loss, "We're going to run the table and win the championship", no one really paid any attention to him though. He was right way back when.
The Sox jumped on the board early by scoring 3 runs in the first inning, then piled on more by scoring 5 in the 2nd. Carey continued his stellar season by shutting down the Tigers for 6 innings. He had a no hit shutout going until giving up 2 hits and a run in the 7th. Carey finished up his season by striking out 7 in 7 innings and only walking 2. He totalled 70 k's, only 20 walks, and a 10-0 record for the season. Burnett put the finishing touches on his MVP season by going 3-4 with a triple and a home run and 4 rbi. Sopher, in the cleanup spot, added a 3-4 day with 2 rbi and a triple himself. Sopher also stole 2 bases to finish with 15 total for the season which tied a record he set the last season but with 4 more games to do it in last season. Riccardi added his name to the mix with a 2-3 day, scoring 2 runs and stealing 2 bases giving him a tie with Sopher at 15 for the season. Bogart and Nadler set the table at the top of the order each scoring 2 runs themselves and reaching base a combined 5 times to give Burnett and Sopher those rbi chances.
The Sox have their work cut out for them as they make the jump up to AA. They know they will have to work to keep their intensity as high as it was this season on their road to the championship but they eagerly accept the challenge.
