Braves 19, Yankees 6

The Braves (4 - 2) went into this game very focused and confident. The game plan was the same as each of the previous games: continue our strong pitching and defense, and use timely hitting to get the lead and keep it.
Today however, the Braves bats woke up and they jumped on the Yankees 8-0 in the first inning. The Braves extended their lead 12-0 in the second and looked to be on their way to a "mercy ruling". In the third inning, the Yanks would appear to make a game of it. After a couple of miscues in the field and three nice hits, the Yankees pulled within six and left the inning trailing 12 - 6.
In the bottom of the third, the Braves would continue to hit and score seven more runs before finally mercy ruling the Yankees, 19 - 6 after four innings of play.
Game Notes: Patrick Crotty continued his excellent play and got the game ball after going 3 for 3, with a double and four rbi's. He also picked up the Win on the mound going four innings, giving up three hits and only one earned run. He struck out three batters. Crotty is hitting .733 for the season.
Stephen Klee went 2 for 3 with three rbi's and had an execellent day behind the plate. Connor McKinney had a couple of nice stops a third while going 2 for 3 at the plate and also had three rbi's. Christian O'Kelly (aka O Dog) went 2 for 3, stole a base, scored two runs and also drove in a run. O Dog made a couple of nice grabs at first base too!
Nick D'Arpe scored three runs and played a great second base, Hikaru Kurasawa drove in a run and made a nice catch in right field, Dylan Higgins scored three runs and played a great center field making a nice catch, Jeffrey Meyer and Tyler Darnell each scored runs and provided much needed spark on the bases!
This win was truly a team effort and all of my players should be very proud of themselves!
